Jose Alfredo Marquez, 33 of Odessa was called to his heavenly home March 9, 2021. He was born in Odessa, TX to Jose Socorro Marquez Sr and Leticia Marquez on June 19, 1987. Jose Alfredo a man of God was a very hard working man, he started working in the oilfield at a very young age up until he was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2017. Which he beat and went into remission in June 2017, heart of a warrior but still a kid at heart. A protector of those he loved, an amazing & loving father & husband, ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need.

His personality and smile were contagious. He loved to be outdoors, always behind the grill. Never scared what life would bring, because his faith and beliefs in God were infinite. In his own words ... “It’s God Will” No words can ever fully describe José Alfredo, he was one of a kind. He was loved by so many, friends became family, he was a father-figure to many children. His doors never closed to those he loved. Jose Alfredo is proceeded in death by grandparents Jose Alfredo Chacon, Sylvestre Marquez Saenz, Felipa González De Marquez & Manuel “Nelo” Marquez. Jose Alfredo is survived by his wife Crystal Marquez, children, Jose Manuel Marquez, Alyssa Marie Marquez, Jonathan Deon Marquez, Jayden Donavan Marquez, and Aleenah Alizea Marquez. Mother Leticia Marquez, father Jose Socorro Marquez Sr. & wife Sonia Marquez. Brother Jose Marquez Jr. & wife Vanessa Marquez, sisters Veronica Marquez & Cynthia Marquez. Grandmother Irene Marquez. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. His large circle of family, friends & loved ones. Pallbearers will be father Jose S. Marquez, brother Jose Marquez Jr., nephews Xavier Longoria, Julius Marquez & Jeremiah Marquez, niece Briana Marquez, friends Damian Ortiz & Jessie Sanchez.

Visitiation will take place at Martinez Funeral Home Outside Chapel on Tuesday, March 16,2021 from 1pm to 9pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm and a service of remembrance at 8pm.

Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 10am with Pastor Daniel Sanchez Officiating, Burial will follow at Odessa II Section.
