Jose Maria Alba, 55, of Odessa, passed away on February 5, 2026 in Odessa, TX.
Jose M. Alba was born in Miguel Auza of Zacatecas, Mexico to Lucio Alba Rivas and Nieves Devora Martinez on December 7, 1970. He married Dolores Alba (Rios) on November 30, 1992 in Lexington, Nebraska. He worked as a Cook for Chinese Cuisine for 25 years before moving on to China Mex for 3 years. He loved his kids and grandkids very much. He was passionate about baking and cooking his favorite dish Fried Rice for his family and friends. He was always ready to help anyone no matter the time of day.
Jose Alba was preceded in death by Primitivo Devora (Tio), Bernarda Devora (Tia) and Jose Luis Devora (cousin).
Jose Alba is survived by his wife Dolores Alba; sons Jorge Alba, Sebastian Alba, and Zachary Rios; daughters Yvette Alba, and Zoey Rios; and his 2 grandson Mason & Matthew Ramirez; sisters Margarita Alba and husband Juan Artega, Binda Alba and husband Abraham Perez, Carmen Alba, and Eva Alba; brother Roberto Alba; his father Lucio Alba Rivas, mother Nieves Devora Martinez; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Sebastian Alba, Chris Guardado, Xavier Flores, and Abraham Perez Jr.
The family of Jose Alba wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Bajaj at West Texas Cancer Center, the hospice nurses and staff at MCH Hospital, 5th floor.
