On May 24, 2025 our dear loving sister Hilda Ruiz passed peacefully.
Hilda was born April 29, 1950 in El Paso, TX. She graduated from Permian H.S. in 1969. She received an Associate degree from Odessa College. Hilda served our nation in the Airforce in 1976 as a Nuclear medicine technician until her honorable discharge in 1980. Upon her discharge she worked at various hospitals including the Medical Center hospital in Odessa until her retirement. Hilda loved to travel and enjoyed the culture of Europe and Hawaii. On these various vacations she kindly took her nieces, nephews, and close family members.
Her interests included music and movies. She was a collector of dolls, movie memorabilia and creative in crafting.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother. Jose & Julia Ruiz and Armando.
She is survived by sisters and their husbands Erlinda & Richard Barnes, Angela & (deceased)Raymond Sanchez, and Adelina & Joe Rodriguez. She was a caring, loving, and generous Aunt to her 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 11grandnieces and 7 grandnephews.
Visitation will held Wednesday May 28, 2025 from 1:00PM - 9:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00PM. Mass will be held at 10:00AM Thursday May 30, 2025 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Carlos Rodriguez Officiating. Burial to follow at Ector County Cemetery ~Rosehill Section.
Pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews. In order of age, Melissa, Michael, Adam, Sonja, Desi Ree, and Joe.
