Guillermo Salinas, Jr.

Guillermo J.R. Salinas, Jr., 53, of Odessa, was called home on Sunday, August 11, 2013.

J.R. was born in Chicago, IL, to Dubelsa Villareal Salinas and the late Guillermo Salinas, Sr. J.R. married Millie Salinas in 1982 in Odessa, TX. He was a very generous person, was big hearted, was a very humorous person, and he had a passion for the outdoors and wildlife. He always went above and beyond for his friends and family. He was a sheet metal fabricator at Ace Sheet Metal Productions in Odessa.

J.R. is preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Willie Salinas, Sr., and brotherinlaw, Ernesto Lujan, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Millie Salinas his daughter, Celeste Salinas his son, Adrian Salinas three grandchildren Isaiah, Mia, and Isabella and a step granddaughter Anisha his mother, Dubelsa Villareal Salinas his sister, Mary and her husband Genaro Martinez of Placitas, NM his sister, Soyla Flores of Odessa his brotherinlaw, Albert Flores of Odessa his sister, Sandra and her husband Johnny Hernandez of Odessa his sister, Sofia and her husband Everette Elmore of Odessa his brother, Gabriel Salinas of Odessa his sisterinlaw, Yolanda Hernandez of Odessa his brotherinlaws, Richard Lujan of Odessa and Edward Lujan of Odessa his sisterinlaw, Elsa and her husband Juan Dominguez of Belton, TX and 28 nieces and nephews.

The viewing is scheduled at Martinez Funeral Chapels for Tuesday 81313 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Wednesday 81413 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at 7:00 P.M. at Martinez Chapels.

The Mass for Funeral will be at 10:00 A. M. on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at St. Josephs Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mario Castro, Michael Chavez, Anthony Salinas, Joe Chavez Jr., Jerald Lujan, and Jamie Lujan.
