Gilbert Richard Vasquez

Gilbert Richard Vasquez passed away on January 1, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on June 7, 1957, in Odessa, Texas to Adolph B. Vasquez and Criesilda Vasquez.

Gilbert dedicated many years of his life to his career as an Auto Body Painter.

Outside of his career, Gilbert was a loving and caring individual who cherished time spent with family and friends.

Gilbert will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He is survived by his mother Mary Lou Gomez; his son Rafael; his daughter Sue Ann; his brother Adolph Vasquez Jr.; his sisters Rosemary Juarez and Brother Quentin Vasquez; his niece Priscilla Vasquez; as well as the Sanchez & Coy Family.

During this difficult time, friends and family will gather to celebrate Gilbert's life. Visitation will be held on January 9, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory located at 1040 S Dixie Blvd in Odessa. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM.

A Mass will be held on January 10, 2024, at St Joseph's Catholic Church located at 907 S Dixie Blvd in Odessa. The service will begin at 10:00 AM and will be a time to reflect on Gilbert's life and the impact he had on those around him.

Following the Mass, Gilbert will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens located at 6713 East Business 20 in Odessa, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Jose Angel, John Paul, Nicholas, Quientin, Augustin, and Adolph Jr.

Gilbert's presence in our lives will always be remembered and cherished. His kindness, generosity, and passion for life has left an indelible mark on all who knew him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire love and compassion in each of us.
