Gabina Pisaña Hernandez February 19, 1935 – May 5, 2026
Gabina Pisaña Hernandez, 91, of Pecos, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, in Odessa.
Born on February 19, 1935, in Presidio County, Gabina was the cherished daughter of Domingo F. Pisaña and Rosenda Meraz. She married Hustacio F. Hernandez, and together they built a home filled with warmth, faith, and devotion. Gabina possessed a heart big enough for everyone she met — a rare and radiant soul whose presence made people feel instantly welcomed and deeply loved. Whether she was knitting, crocheting, sewing, or dancing, she poured herself into every moment, filling the lives of those around her with comfort, joy, and an abundance of love that continues to live on in all who knew her.
Gabina was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo F. Pisaña and Rosenda Meraz; her husband, Eustacio F. Hernandez; her life partner; Severo Castillo; her sons, Hipolito, Nicolas, and Johnny Hernandez; her daughter, Lydia Davis; her brothers, Monico, Eusebio, Domingo Jr., and Billy Pisana; and her sisters, Pola Rubio, Maria Martinez, and Candida Pisana.
She is lovingly survived by her sons, Alfonso, Robert, and Henry Hernandez; her daughters, Rosa Hernandez, Amelia Cameron, Sylvia Garcia, Margarita Sanchez, Carolina Najera, and Delma Russell; her brother, Manuel Pisana; her sisters, Juanita, Cecilia, Linda, and Christina; and a vast and beautiful legacy of 45 grandchildren, 107 great-grandchildren, and 38 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be MaryAnn Hernandez, Erica Sanchez, Ellias Sanchez, Noah Moreno, Jacob Moreno, Joshua Carrasco, Jake Carrasco, and Paul Hernandez.
The family of Gabina wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Two Heart Provider Services and her devoted caregiver, Yoandra Cruz, as well as to Home Hospice and her compassionate nurse, Nora Valdez. Your kindness and care meant more than words can express. Thank you for all your love and prayers.
