Esther M. Lynn

Esther Vielma Martinez, 78, of Odessa, passed away Sunday May 17, 2026, in Odessa, Texas. Esther was born April 06, 1948, in Parras Monterrey, N.L. Mexico to Juan Martinez and Dominga Vielma. She attended Odessa College, learned to speak and write English. She married Bobby Roy Lynn on June 17, 1989. In her youthful years she worked at the Cotton gin operating and maintaining heavy machinery that processes raw cotton by separating lint from seeds and removing plant debris. Manual laborer in the cotton fields from sunrise to sundown. Helped establish the neighborhood and created many friendships. Caregiver with Visiting Angels, Nursing Home in Seminole, Texas. She continued her role as a homemaker with all the bells and whistles, along the way, she maintained their own livestock (bulls, cows, goats, chickens, pigs, and her dear wild boar named Amber), acreage gardens & trees of vegetables and fruits for all-natural food.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Roy Lynn, her parents Juan and Dominga Martinez and her sister Yolanda Gonzalez.

Esther is survived by her daughter Maria E. and husband Daniel Armendariz, her daughter Mary Lynn and husband Alex Duran, her daughter JoAnn Lee Lynn, her son Johnny Lee Lynn and her grandchildren Adrian Lee Maltos Jr., Solei Lee & Brandon Lee Garciaroiz, Seth Lee Lynn, Destiny Lee & Matthew Lee Lynn, Richard Lee Lynn, Ethan Lee Martinez and Ailani Lee Lynn.

Beloved Daughter, Wife, Sister, Mother and Grandmother.

Mom, you will be MISSED so much! We will always carry you in our heart and mind. Mom, you demonstrated your strength through words and actions. Mom, you were and will be remembered as the Neighborhood Watch Patrol!

Public Visitation will be held Wednesday May 20th, 2026 from 1pm to 9pm in the The Outside Chapel of Martinez Funeral Home Dixie Location

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm Thursday May 21, 2026 in The Outside Chapel of Martinez Funeral Home Dixie Location with  Daniel Armendariz Jr. (Son in Law) officiating. 

The Lynn Family has opted for cremation as the alternative means of burial, to be scheduled at a later date,

Pallbearers will be:
Adrian Lee Maltos, Jr. Brandon Lee Garciaroiz, Solei Lee Garciaroiz, Seth Lee Lynn, Destiny Lee Lynn, Matthew Lee Lynn, Richard Lee Lynn, Ethan Lee Martinez, & Martin Lee Lujan.
