Mina was born in Coyame, Mexico to Guadalupe Olivas and Thomasa Sanchez Olivas on August 15, 1925. She was one of eleven kids. She was a devoted wife to Juan “Papo” Jasso and mother to 7 children. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Our Mother was the strongest person we knew. She was not afraid of anything or anyone. Her ability to brighten up any room was incredible. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, gardening and traveling. She also loved a shot or two of tequila while listening to the Rieleros Del Norte. Her home was always a place for family, friends and even strangers. She welcomed everyone and no one left on an empty stomach. This woman was our backbone and had a wonderful life. We will miss her the rest of our lives.
Mina is proceeded in death by her husband Juan “Papo” Jasso, 7 of her siblings, her grandson Jesse Jr. Jasso and 2 great grandchildren Alec Delbosque and Kimberley Baeza.
She is survived by her children Lina Jasso, Johnny Jasso, Sesario “Chayo” Jasso & wife Gracie, Tammy Jasso, Diana Ramirez & husband Steven Ramirez, Jesse Jasso & wife Sandra, Norma Mancha & husband Jackie Mancha. Also, her living siblings Pedro Olivas, Manuelita Carrillo, and Rita Ramirez along with 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ruben Aparicio, Marco Aparicio, Rocky Jasso, John Joseph Jasso, Jordan Jasso and Jaime Delbosque.
