Eloisa was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and mother-in-law.
On October 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, Eloisa M. Casias, age 82, peacefully went to be with the Lord.
Eloisa was born July 15, 1943 to Juan V. Matta & Epimenia Machuca Matta. She married Raymond S. Casias Jr. on July 4, 1964 and were married for 61 years. They are parents of 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Eloisa was a soft-spoken and affectionate woman who deeply loved her family and everyone she met. She cherished having family and friends around and often enjoyed sharing stories of her childhood, her days attending Santa Rosa Catholic School, and her upbringing in Pecos, Texas. Blessed with a green thumb, she could make anything grow — even a rock.
Eloisa was a talented homemaker, known for her delicious homemade tortillas, beautiful sewing, creative mums, and all kinds of arts and crafts. She had an unconditional love for everyone and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.

Matta; Brothers Juan Matta, Manuel Garcia, Pablo Matta Sr., Paz Matta, Manuel Matta, Hector Matta, and Raul Matta; Sisters Mary Dutchover, Paula Ornelas, Cruz Pisana, Sts. Martha Ann Matta, Paula Ornelas, Maria Regino, Virginia Ramirez, and Yolanda Ramirez
Eloisa M. Casias is survived by her husband Raymond S. Casias Jr. of Odessa, sons; Albert Casias (Carol) of Odessa, Gabriel Casias Sr. (Michelle) of Odessa, and daughter Cathy Casias Tevini of Odessa, grandchildren; Chriselda Casias, Gabriel Casias Jr., Michael Casias, and Elizabeth Perez, Great-grandchildren; Isiah, Janie, Amaris, Jacob, Preston, Lexine, and Wrenley, Great-Great granddaughter: Evangeline.
The family would also like to extend our appreciation to Mike Moreno Sr. for his help and support.
We would also like to express our most sincere gratitude to the staff at Gentiva Hospice; Bobbie and Mollie. Nurse Zo with Encompass Health, MCH Nurses: Bridgette, Abby, Norma, Janie and Stephanie.
Visitation is set for Tuesday October 28, 2025, from 1:00PM-9:00PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM Wednesday October 29, 2025, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Pablo Matta officiating.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery ‘Los Angeles section’.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Matta, Micheal Matta, Mario Matta, Daniel Matta, Jason Casias, and Stephen Casias.
