Elodia Aguilera, 86, of Odessa, Tx formerly Fort Stockton passed away Sunday May 17, 2026 at her residence.
Elodia was born in Fort Stockton, TX to Manuel C. Urias and Alvina G. Urias on November 14, 1939. She graduated from Ector High School. She married Reymundo J. Aguilera on March 7, 1957, in Odessa. She worked as a caretaker until she retired. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph's catholic church. Elodia was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and an unwavering faith in God. Those who know Elodia will remember her for her beautiful smile, and her nurturing spirit. Although Elodia's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us.
Elodia is preceded in death by her parents Manuel C. Urias and Alvina G. Urias, her daughter Rayma Elizabeth Gomez, and her siblings Dorothy Hinojos, Edward Urias, Alicia Alderete.
Elodia is survived by her husband Reymundo J Aguilera, her children Delma Aguilera and Raymond Aguilera, her siblings Josie and Lazaro Rodriguez, her grandchildren Benjamin and Amber Lopez, Fabian and Britnee Gomez, Paula Gomez, and Reba Gomez, Anthony Aguilera, Jacob and Milinda Aguilera, Draven Aguilera, Chris Nunez, Bryan Nunez, and Savannah Nunez, Michael Aguilera, Regina Aguilera, and Paul Nunez. She is also survived by 36 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation has been set for Wednesday May 20, 2026, from 1:30pm-9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at Martinez Funeral Home chapel.
Mass has been set for 10:00am Thursday May 21, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Mike Elsner officiating.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery “Los Angeles section”.
Pallbearers will be Benjamin Lopez, Fabian Gomez, Anthony Aguilera, Jacob Aguilera, Michael Aguilera, and Paul Nunez.
We, the family of Elodia Aguilera, wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Pankaj Khandelwal, the staff of the Texas Oncology, and Gentiva Hospice for the care that was provided to Elodia.
