Elida Gomez was embraced by Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 15,2018 in Odessa TX.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 17, 2018 from 2pm-9pm & Wednesday July 18, 2018 from 9am - 9pm with a Rosary to be Recited at 7pm
Mass will be Celebrated on Thursday July 19,2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10am in Odessa TX.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Gardens Section.

She was born in CD. Lerdo Durango to Lucas Hernandez y Martina Diaz on January 21, 1943. Elida is survived by children, Oscar Alvarez, Olivia Alvarez, Rafael Alvarez Jr., Julian Alvarez and spouse Brenda Alvarez , Arturo Alvarez and spouse Annie Alvarez. Raised two grandkids as her children, Crystal Alvarez-Urias and spouse Luis Urias, and Monica Alvarez. She had twelve grandkids, Oscar Alvarez Jr., Erica Alvarez, Rafael Alvarez Jr., Marina Alvarez, Surryna Nabarrette, Julian Alvarez Jr., Xavier Alvarez, Janelle Alvarez, Danny Segura Jr., Maximous Alvarez, Jackylyne Guerrero, Manuel Guerrero. Nine greatgrand kids, Oscar Alvarez III, Alex Alvarez, Mia Alvarez, Lizelle Nabarrette, Laylanie Nabarrette, Isabella Alvarez, Brinleigh Alvarez, Rafael Alvarez IIII, Rhea E. Alvarez. Ten step children, Ramon Segura Jr., Rosa Segura, Esther Segura, Anita Segura, Bobby Segura, Josie Segura, Alfonsa Segura, Delfino Segura, Danny Segura. Brothers Jesus Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez.

Elida enjoyed watching novelas, gardening, smoking and drinking coffee. She loved birds, liked to sing and dance. Loved to spend time with all her family.

Elida Gomez is preceded in death by her parents Lucas and Martina Hernandez, Hermanos Lucas Hernandez, Hermanas Martha Luna, Antonia Hernandez, Angela Price.

Pallbearers will be Julian Alvarez, Julian Alvarez Jr, Rafael Alvarez, Rafael Alvarez Jr., Arturo Alvarez, Oscar Alvarez, Xavier Alvarez, Danny Segura Jr., Honorary pallbearer Maximous Alvarez.
