Edward Machuca Alvarez Sr. 54, Pecos Tx.
Edward, was born in Pecos Tx to Yolanda Machuca Alvarez and Guadalupe Alvarez Sr on July 01,1971. He went to school in Odessa Tx, He was with his partner Rosa for 25 years. He was a welder and diesel mechanic for Big Tex Trailer J&B Trailers before he did his own contracting as “Alvarez Welding”. He was a big part of the Sherwood Little League Baseball Association, along with Being Captain of the Junkie Joe’s Havoc’s pool team and was a Competitive select baseball coach for both his sons.
Edward is survived by, his son Edward Garcia Alvarez Jr, his daughter Jasmine Nicole Garcia Alvarez, and his son Ivvan Garcia Alvarez. His brother Guadalupe Alvarez Jr, sister Amy Alvarez, brother Moises Alvarez, brother David Alvarez, sister Roxanne Alvarez. Mother Yolanda Machuca Alvarez and father Guadalupe Alvarez Sr. Grandchildren, Jaliyah Alvarez Mccoy, Orion Alvarez, Leilani Alvarez, Lilliana Alvarez, Nevaeh Gallardo, Elena Gallardo Alvarez, Ellie Alvarez Torres, and his domesticated partner Rosa Garcia.
Visitation will be held Tuesday August 26, 2025 from 1PM - 9PM at Martinez Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7PM. Mass will be held at 10AM Wednesday August 27, 2025 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial to follow at American Heritage in Midland, Texas.
Pallbearers will be his sons Edward Alvarez Jr., Ivvan Alvarez, brothers Guadalupe Alvarez Jr., Moises Alvarez, David Alvarez, Nephew Dominic Fino, friends Joe Gavaldon and David Berlanga.
Memorials may be given to Martinez funeral home or his daughter Jasmine Alvarez for keepsakes. The family of Edward wishes to extend our sincere thanks to our family and friends, Life Challenge, and Joe Gavaldon, Kole Solley and Almighty Wash.
