Edna R. (Galindo) Valles was born in Ozona, Texas to Father Edward Villa Galindo Sr. and Mother Carol (Yruegas) Galindo on January 17th, 1967. She was raised in Crane Texas, and she attended Crane High School where she very pridefully graduated in 1985. After high school she pursued cosmetology and owned a hair salon for many years. Over time she moved to Odessa Texas where she would marry Carlos Mendez Valles in July of 2000 and give life to their son Dominick Galindo Valles in 2003. Edna attended Odessa College, graduated with an Associate’s Degree and went to work at Texas Tech Physicians where she spent many wonderful years doing what she loved to do. She would then go to work in more exciting jobs like Law Enforcement as a Private Investigator and Security officer. She loved the thrill and feeling of “Being out in the field and not being behind a desk.” She would go on through her adult life taking care of her son, her family, her friends and anyone in need of a helping hand. During her free time, she would volunteer at food banks, her sons' school and sporting events and other various benefits because she believed “In life you must give to receive.” She would also do as much as take in nieces, nephews, grandchildren and anyone in need, family or not because she believed that everyone deserves love. Edna spent the last few years of her life being strong, fighting to better her health for herself and her family. With the help and support of everyone in her life from therapists, doctors, nurses, and fellow members of her AA club she earned 9 coins for sobriety and a spot on the Liver Transplant List. She was a wonderful woman that touched all of our hearts in one type of way or another. She will forever be remembered and loved as she’s up in Heavens gates living the eternal life.
