Delia Granados Marquez was born in Palomas No. 2, Manuel Benavides, Chihuahua to Francisco and Victoria Granados on September 2, 1946. She married Cesar Dominguez Marquez in Mexico. Cesar and Delia devoted many years of their lives to agricultural work, traveling seasonally with their children as they followed the harvests from Texas to Florida, Michigan, and the Carolinas. Through their hard work they provided a life for their family. In the 1980s, they planted their roots in Odessa, Texas. They cultivated a life that was reflected at their home in Pleasant Farms. They cared for farm animals, tended to multiple gardens of crops and roses, and had a mini orchard. As Delia’s disability limited her mobility, she turned to more traditional hobbies like sewing. It brought her such joy to sew blankets for her great grandchildren when they were born. She would also cross-stitch pillowcases themed for each great grandchild. Her work was special and heartfelt as she made each one by just looking at the pattern book. She counted every square and made every stitch with such care.
Delia is preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Victoria and her husband Cesar, bothers Jose Dolores Granados, Ramon Granados and Jose Granados, sisters Concepcion Granados, and Maria de Jesus Granados.
Delia is survived by her sister Maria Manuela Armendariz, her children Hector (Teresa), Homero, Cesar Jr., Dilema (Bonifacio), Victoria, Rigo (Sonia) Sijifredo (Bianca). Grandchildren 22, Great-Grandchildren 25, Great-Great Grandchildren 1
Pallbearers will be Eric Marquez II, Randy Bermea, Marcus Franco, Davian Talamantez, Jesus Manuel Armendariz, Francisco Armendariz, Henner Gonzalez, Hector Marquez II.
