On June 20, 1955, in Odessa, Texas, a precious baby girl was born to Elmer and Bobbie Guyton. They lovingly named her Debra Ann Guyton, though her mother affectionately called her “Debra Do.”

Debra was raised in Odessa and educated in the city’s public school system, graduating from Ector High School in 1973. A hard-working and dedicated woman, Debra went on to work for Levi Strauss, Texas Commerce Bank, and Dollar General before retiring.  She was more than just her career —

Debra is preceded in death by her grandpa 

Debra was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother. She was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboy Fan, known for her passion and spirit that brought joy to all who knew her.rents, father Elmer Guyton, her sister Angeline “Cookie” Guyton, and her brothers Elmer Guyton Jr. and David Guyton.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband LC Ward Sr., her daughter Tiffany Ward, and her son LC Ward Jr. and his wife Janeth Ward; seven grandchildren: Brittnee Ward, Bryce Ward, Jacqui, LC Ward III, Zephaniah Ward, Zedekiah Ward, and Juila Ward,and 5 great-grandchildren, Khais Green, Khasius Wilkerson, Khaislyn Wilkerson, Nalah Ornelas, Peyton Ornelas all of Odessa, Texas. She is also survived by her mother Bobbie Caufield, sister Vivian Washington of Houston, Texas, Linda Guyton, Sue Rougeaux, and her brother Kevin Guyton, all of Odessa, Texas, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Debra’s warmth, strength, and unwavering love will continue to live on through all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation is set for Thursday October 2, 2025, from 1pm-9pm with a wake from 6pm-8pm at Martinez Funeral Home chapel.

Funeral services are set for 10am Friday October 3, 2025, at Martinez Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Michael Smith sharing the eulogy.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens 6801 E, I-20 BL Odessa, TX 79762.
