Cristobal Sanchez Lara “El Mid Night Rider”, passed away on December 25^th, 2023 in Odessa, Tx.

Visitation will be held at Martinez Funeral Home on Thursday December 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Martinez Funeral Home.

Cristobal was born in the Rancho Lara de Petrolio, Pecos TX to biological mother Sixta Hernandez and biological father Reyes Lara. He was raised by Jeronimo and Margret Lara in Pecos, Tx. He was baptized a catholic and he kept his faith strong throughout his life. He married his beloved Juanita (Weda) in December of 1982. They shared a lovely marriage.  He worked with Deborah and Rene Pando at MR Pando Trucking for the last 15 years. He became part of their extended family throughout his employment with them. Although he worked as a truck driver all his life, he cherished spending time with his three children making BBQ ribs and listening to oldies. He loved attending Carshows with his son Alvaro and wife Joann. Though he rarely caught any fish, he enjoyed casting a fishing rod. He was waiting for the big catch. Cristobal was known for having a charismatic charm that captivated the hearts of all he encountered. He was known for cracking jokes and his witty sense of humor.

Cristobal is preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers, and sisters.

Cristobal is survived by wife, Juanita Lara; children, Alvaro Lara (Joann Lara), Chris Lara Jr., Nina Lara (Dustin Dugger); grandchildren, Joseph Valles, Deanna Martinez (Vinny Martinez), Breann Lara, Brian Franco Jr, Ameri Neal, Chris Lara III, Penelope Lara; Great grandchildren, Priscilla Valles, Clarissa Valles, Jocelyn Valles, Alvaro Payen, Ezekial Martinez, Messiah Martinez, Joseph Henry Valles Jr.; Sisters, Amelia Orona, Lisa Mata
