Carmen was born in Pecos, TX to Domingo and Pauline Galindo on September 16, 1951. She graduated from Pecos High School. Carmen worked at the Test Track in Pecos for several years and had three beautiful daughters while residing there. Shortly after her fathers passing she moved to Odessa where she obtained her cosmetology license then later became an instructor as well. She eventually found interest in earning her CDL and went to work driving school buses. She took pride in being able to drive her grandchildren to school. She met her husband Guadalupe P Torres and eventually were blessed with their pride and joy, Gabriel G Torres.
Carmen was a precious selfless person who would give her last penny to help her family. There wasn't much she wouldn’t do for any of them. She also didn’t think twice of setting anyone straight, especially since she was always right. She cherished her grandkids and great grandkids more than anything in this world. She always had a fresh pot of beans for their bean burritos that they came to expect when coming to visit. After retirement, her and her twin enjoyed going to the gamerooms to play on the “maquenitas.” She fought hard her last few years and left us with many cherishable memories that we will keep in our hearts forever.
Carmen is preceded in death by her father Domingo Galindo, her oldest brother Tommy Galindo, her mother Pauline V Galindo, her husband Guadalupe P Torres, and her precious nephew Patrick C Rodriquez.
Carmen is survived by her children Patricia Saenz (Larry), Rebecca G Campos (Arthur), Priscilla G Salcido (Rogelio), and Gabriel Torres, her siblings twin sister Yolanda Rodriquez, Rene Galindo, and Jack Galindo, grandchildren Christopher, Roderick, Brandon, Nicholas, Jonathan, Zachary, Kassie, Cameron, and Kelsie, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Christopher, Brandon, Johnny, Nick, Zachary, Cameron, and Christian. Honorary Pallbearers will be Izaiah A. Campos and Caisen R. Rodriguez.
The family of Carmen wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Reisa Ramos and Amelia Cameron for their dedication and love in providing the utmost care for our mother; We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
See you later alligator.
