Blanche Evelyn Washington age 97, of Odessa Texas, passed away Peacefully surrounded with love, on August 15, 2026. She was born on September 10, 1928, in Mexia Texas, to Elizabeth (Houston) Livingston and Titus Livingston, Sr. After losing her mother when she was little, she was raised by the village of her family. She grew up in Mexia Texas and attended public school. She graduated high school. She later married Manuel B. Washington, they bore five children into this union, together with seven total. They moved to Odessa around the 1950’s. Blanche was wonderful seamstress and superb Tailor and Alterations Specialist; she worked many years in the Dry-Cleaning Industry. She worked for Fashion Cleaners for 28 years and finally decided to retire at the age of ninety-two. Blanche is remembered for her warmth and devotion to her family, after losing her mother at such a young age, she made it part of her life to make sure that every child that came into her presence never lack for a mother’s love. She spent her life loving every young person that needed a special TLC, and was Aunt Blanche to many, whether they were blood related or otherwise. She is preceded in death by Husband Manuel Washington, Sr. (Daughter), Amily Joyce Orum, (Sons) Manuel Washington, Jr., Kenneth Ray Washington and Marshall Bernard Washington. She leaves to morn her Legacy, (Sons) Blake Washington of Lubbock, Tx, James Washington of Odessa, Tx, Randy Washington of Arlington, TX. (Granddaughters) Paula Stephens of Corpus Christi, Tx. Stephanie Orum of Odessa, TX., Randy Washington, Jr. Fort Worth, Tx, Rylough Washington of Arlington, Tx. Ratrun Willis of Dallas, Tx. Great-Granddaughter Bianca Emert of Odessa, Tx. And a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Great-Great-grandchildren, A host of Nieces and Nephews and loving friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 27, 2026, from 1pm to 9pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home, in the Inside Chapel at The Dixie Location.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday August 28, 2026, at 10am at Mackey Chapel UMC, located at 306 W. Clements St. Odessa, Texas 79761, with Pastor Jon Hendricks Officiating.

Interment to follow at Ector County Cemetery The Rosehill Section.
