Betty Cornelius

Betty Gale Cornelius went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in Odessa, Texas.

She was born May 11, 1951 in Bastrop, LA to D R and Zelma Mayo. Betty grew up in
Bastrop and moved to Andrews, TX in 1982. She married Clarence "Butch" Cornelius on February 14, 1986. She worked for Kirby West and retired in 2014 after 30 years.
Betty was a very private person, but she loved her family. Betty's favorite hobbies were remodeling her home and going fishing with Butch. She liked all the
new gadgets like the Google home speaker and mini tablets. She also collected state spoons and loved baking Christmas cookies with her nieces and nephews.
She will always be remembered for her infectious laugh and her love of Coca Cola.

Betty is survived by her husband, Clarence "Butch" Cornelius of Andrews, parents D R and Zelma Mayo of Bastrop, LA, sons Phillip Patterson of Bastrop, LA, and Randy Dial of Austin,
TX. Sister Janet Young of Arkansas and brother Alvis Mayo of Bastrop LA. Half-sisters, Brenda Frisby, Bonnie Sawyer and Geraldine Goodson and husband Mark and half-brother
Randy Mayo and wife Nancy all of Bastrop, LA. Betty is also survived by her sisters-in-law Cassandra Savell and husband Michael of Andrews and their children Gina Smith, Carolyn
Smith and husband Keegan, and Christopher Smith and Molly Hier and husband Frank of Overbrook KS and their children Niki Hier, her sons Aubrey and Bradyn, and
Aubrey Hier and wife Theresa.

Memorial services have been scheduled at 2 pm on Sunday September 9, 2018 at Second Baptist Church Andrews Texas with Bro. Kevin Covington officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Shriners Hospital. The family would also like to thank the nurses and doctors of MCH for their
tireless service to the care and treatment of our loved one Betty Cornelius.
