Aurora Calderon Villegas

October 30, 1934 — May 31, 2025

Aurora Calderon Villegas of Odessa passed away and united with our heavenly father on May 31, 2025. Aurora was born October 30, 1934, in Rancho Portales, Presidio, TX to Manuel Calderon, Sr. and Tecla Urias. Aurora was married to Salvador Villegas in Odessa, Texas. Aurora had four children: Arturo Calderon, Belinda (Joe) Porras, Tony (Olivia) Villegas and Albert (Priscilla) Villegas. She had 5 grand children, 10 great grand children, and 4 great great grand children, whom she loved and adored. She worked at Medical Center Hospital, where she retired from after more than 25 years of service.

Aurora was loved and adored by her family and friends and will be forever missed. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, as well as an active member of the Senior Citizens Center. She was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She had a very spirited attitude and was the “World’s Greatest Cook” to her family.

Preceding Aurora in death is her husband, Salvador Villegas; her two sons, Albert Villegas and Arturo Calderon; her parents (Manuel and Tecla Calderon), two brothers (Abelardo Calderon and Manuel Calderon), and two sisters (Maria Prieto and Eva Olivas). 

She is survived by her daughter, Belinda Porras; son, Tony Villegas, and brother Ramon Calderon. The Villegas Family would also like to acknowledge Aurora’s God Daughter, Cristina Salazar, and thank her for all that she did for her Nina.

Viewing will be on June 12, 2025 from 1:00PM to 9:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held on June 13, 2025 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 10:00AM. Fellowship will be at the St. Anthony’s hall immediately following the funeral services.
