Estella Rangel

January 5, 1954 — November 18, 2022

Our love, Estella Armendarez Rangel, 68, of Odessa, Texas, gained her wings on Friday November 18, 2022. She was born to parents Natividad Armendarez and Petra S. Armendarez on January 5, 1954, in Monahans, Texas.

She graduated from Ector High School in 1971. Estella worked as a Teacher's Aide for ten years. After ten years of service, she retired from Gale Pond Alamo Elementary in 1994 to join her husband in full-time ministry, serving others by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
She enjoyed spending time with all her family, especially around the holidays. She loved making tamales, and she made the best. She spent her leisure time crafting and gifting her creations to those she loved. She adored her parents and always had them close to her heart, and she reminded us of how wonderful they were all the time. She also loved her husband and daughters, who honored and loved her until the end.
Estella met Sammy in 1969. They were married on July 19, 1974, in Odessa, Texas. Together they raised three children: Tanya, Tina, & Tammy, who were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by Helen Munoz; sister; Petra Armendarez; mother; Brandon Sanchez; grandson, Ricky Armendarez; brother; Natividad Sr. Armendarez; father, only to be reunited again in Heaven.

She is survived by Samuel Rangel; husband; Tanya & Robert Lee Sanchez; daughter & son-in-law; Tina & Lupe Montemayor; daughter & son-in-law; Tammy & Edwin Hernandez; daughter & son-in-law; Anthony Montemayor; grandson; Bryan Sanchez; grandson; Samuel Sanchez; grandson; Joshua Becerra; grandson; Ava Montemayor; granddaughter; Matthew Sanchez; great-grandson; Raelynn Sanchez; great-granddaughter; Elijah Sanchez; great-grandson; Natividad Jr. & Flo Armendarez; brother & sister-in-law; Raul Armendarez; brother; Diane & Carlos Huerta; sister & brother-in-law; Poncho Munoz; brother-in-law; & Rosie Armendarez; sister-in-law.

To Nancy Baca, Manuela Ybarra, Timo Ybarra, Manuel Pineda, and Blas Rangel, she loved each of you like her brothers and sisters.

To all her visitors in person and through FaceTime, she loved you all and enjoyed your company. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
