Arturo Fuentes

Arturo “Art” Ramirez Fuentes, 67, was called home on Friday February 26, 2021. He was born Sunday, July 12, 1953 in Pecos, Texas to Pedro and Fidela Fuentes.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Martinez Funeral Home.  Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Mark Woodruff officiating.  Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery, Odessa II section.

Art “Turi” attend Santa Rosa School, Earl Bell Elementary in Pecos and graduated in 1973 from Ector High School in Odessa where he was elected “Most Handsome.”  Art worked many jobs in life, but most passionate was driving an 18-wheeler and especially a tour bus that allowed him to travel all over the continental USA.  He had his stories and always joking around.  He was so proud of his son, Michael (Bridgette) and his grandchildren, Makayla and Brock.  He will be immensely missed.  Love you my father, son, grandfather, brother; this is not goodbye but see you later.  Until we meet again!!

Arturo is preceded in death by his father, Pedro Fuentes Jr. and sister, Graciela F. Vargas.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his son, Michael Madrid (Bridgette); two grandchildren, Makayla and Brock Madrid; mother, Fidela R. Fuentes; three sisters, Irma f. Ramirez, Sandra F. Hernandez (Manuel), Susan Fuentes Wilson, numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brock Madrid, Michael Madrid, Manuel Hernandez, Anthony Fuentes, Ruben Vargas, Christopher Ramirez, Jacob Fuentes, and John Ramirez.
