Velvet Beck Jr. Passed away on October 2,2018 in Odessa Texas
A Celebration of Life will be held for Velvet on Friday October 5,2018 at Bethlehem Baptist Church at 10am in Odessa.
Visitation will be held on October 4,2018 from 1pm - 9pm at Martinez Funeral Home in Odessa.
Velvet Beck Jr. was born on March 20, 1933 In Carthage, Panola County Texas, to the late Velvet Beck Sr. and Emma Sutton Beck. He is preceded in death by his parents, Velvet Beck Sr, and Emma Sutton Beck, two brothers, Bernal Beck and Billy Beck.
Velvet attended Elementary School in Carthage, Texas. His parents move to Odessa, Texas where Velvet attended Carver Elementary and later Blackshear High School where he graduated with the class of
Velvet work as a manager at Walgreen of Odessa, Texas, where he later moved to Los Angeles, California, there he worked as a Manager at Men's Exclusive store In Los Angel California Serving Men and Women with Beautiful Suits.
Velvet then moved back to Odessa and worked for the Holiday Inn Fun Dome) as a Bell Man until his health begin to fail him.
Velvet was once a Deacon at Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leader ship of the late Reverend Roscoe Sutton,
He leaves to cherish is memories, his lovely wife Lola Beck, two Sons Tyree Beck of Odessa, Texas Luther Davenport of Crane, Texas, One sister Florene Jones of Odessa, Texas, a host of grandchildren Niece's nephews, cousins and friends.
