John T. Hunt was born on September 27, 1942 to Mary F. Freeman and Eddie Hunt in Wortham, Texas. He earned his heavenly wings on April 17, 2018 in Odessa, Texas.

J.T. attended public schools in Wortham, Texas and Blackshear in Odessa, Texas. He worked for 14 years at the Shimp Boat in Odessa. He then worked for ECISD for 5 years. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 48 years Glodean Hunt, his son Milton Ray (Virginia) Hunt; his daughters, Connie (Harry) Turner, Tanya (Charles) Morris from Odessa; Jackie (Jerrold) Rider and Evette O’Neil from Dallas; his sisters, Ida Dorn, Tanya Gentry, Rita Young, Eddie Young and Lola Williams; 4 surrogate children, C.L. Hunter, Eddie O’Neil, Deshana Hall and Vickie Holmes; his sisters and brothers, Pauline (Jimmy) Brooks, Joe (Joyce) Freeman, Billie Freeman, Gloria Jean, Willie Freeman, Thelma, Ivory (Kenneth) Busby, Bobby Joe, Margaret (Jimmy) Alexander, Mary; his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and numerous of relatives and friends. I will always be grateful for the memories our children got to make with their Papaw. They loved him dearly and he made sure to spoil them rotten.
